Quick Tips for addressing wedding invitations
The request line: If your wedding ceremony is at a church/place of worship, use the phrase Request the honor/honour of your presence. If the wedding is at a secular location use the phrase Request the pleasure of our company.
What, When & Where: Do not use abbreviations. Spell out the date in this order: Day of the Week, Numeric Date, Month and Year. Use o'clock, in the morning, in the evening, and in the afternoon, when specifying the time of your ceremony. Spell out street names and state names for the venue address.
Reception Card: If your reception is at the same location as your ceremony, include information about the reception on your invitation. If it is at a different location, include information about the reception on a separate card.
