Fashion blogger, mama and expert of all things neutral, Crystalin Marie knows how to throw a chic backyard party! Her white washed boho baby shower hosted in the Bay Area was the perfect combination earthy greens, dreamy whites and other soft neutrals. She chose to host a non-traditional (yet growing trend!) co-ed baby shower. Family and friends joined her and her husband Mike in a friend's big backyard to celebrate the upcoming arrival of their baby, Harper.
Baby Shower Decor & Details
Guests were greeted by a gorgeous lawn party, complete with umbrella-shaded tables, giant balloons, tassels, oversized lounge pillows and even sweet little white tents. Tables were adorned with beautiful bouquets of white florals and greenery. Stained wood signs with looping white hand lettering gave information to enhance the day. And cute gold foil stamped baby shower cocktail napkins gave an extra personal touch. The couple also strung up childhood images for another sweet personal detail.
Baby Shower Activities
The best parties find a way to entertain guests in a way that jives with the theme, doesn't feel too contrived and is all around enjoyable! Crystalin's backyard baby shower did just this. She provided sweet activities for guests that were fun and useful to boot. The ever-popular photobooth made an appearance, with a unique spin of displaying polaroids on teepees to share with other guests. A super cute way of making this feature more interactive while also integrating her baby shower theme! Onesie decorating, baby predictions and a baby mashup station were also around to bring lots of laughs to the day.
Baby Shower Food
Vegetables and a charcuterie tray were among the tasty offerings available to guests at the baby shower. Paired with custom cocktail napkins featuring "Baby D," these bites were enjoyed by guests. A dessert table as gorgeous as it was delicious was accented by trendy jumbo gold balloons, adding both to the decor and taste of the day!
